Joint-stock company “Tikhvin Freight Car Building Plant” – is a leading new generation freight cars manufacturer in the CIS countries. The official launch of its production took place in January 2012.
The plant is considered to be one of the most large-scale objects in the European machine building industry on the amount of investment, production facilities and high-technology capacity.
The biggest Russian coal companies – Kuzbassrazrezugol and Siberian Coal Energy Company, Uralkali, Uralсhem and Acron – leaders in the production of mineral fertilizers, Rusagrotrans – the biggest grain freight carrier, as well as other cargo-generating enterprises and carriers transport their cargo in freight cars manufactured in Tikhvin Freight Car Building Plant.
The Plant is a part of Research and Production Corporation “United Wagon Company” – an integrated provider of services in manufacturing, lease, engineering and maintenance of new generation freight cars.
