Tikhvin plants to raise salaries
18.10.2018

As part of their integrated revenue raising policies, Tikhvin’s railcar manufacturers Tikhvin Freight Car Building Plant, TikhvinChemMash and TikhvinSpetsMash will start raising salaries of their workers from November 2018, with the process to go through several stages.

Pay rises will first be given to some 4,000 workers seen as being the most in-demand: electric and gas welders, metalwork fitters and mechanical assembly operators, crane operators, moulders, core makers, painters, operators of painting and transfer lines, and of other machinery.

Raising payroll constitutes a good incentive and another step towards better life for workers, making employment at Tikhvin’s production facilities even more attractive. In addition to pay increases, people employed by the above facilities enjoy supplementary social assistance from their employers. This includes meal allowances of RUB 55 to 150 per day, reimbursement of children's camp holiday packages, free sanatorium and resort treatment, and an opportunity to travel to and from work at no charge. The current range of social benefits is set to expand in the future.
